Hi, my name is Christine; I’m an author and a professional writer, and this is my blog. I love to write and I love to write about it (writing). I enjoy any topic that is related to writing: mechanics, voice, style, freelance writing, publishing, reading, the writing business, editing, research, websites, blogs, etc., etc. 
I love to talk about writing, so I created this blog.
I also created this blog because I am working on the beginnings of a new book, and I wanted a place to give updates on my progress. I’m hoping to write a book about what to expect in the first year of a freelance writing career (I’m coming up on my one year anniversary in April). I feel I have learned a lot (but still have a ways to go!) that I can share with others. Wouldn’t you, if you were thinking about becoming a freelance writer, want to know what to expect in the first year? There is not a book about this out yet, so hopefully I’ll be the first to write it!
I also want a place to let others know about my already-published books. Recently, while trying to help a fellow writer, I ended up helping myself too. I edited the ebook versions of my three published books in order to help my friend create hers (since I hadn’t created one in three years, I thought things might have changed). Well, I took that act of kindness and went above and beyond. I did second editions for two of the books, updated the print books, created brand new epubs and PDFs for all three books, and uploaded previews for all three books in every one of the three formats. Talk about a total renovation, and having gusto! All of my books can be found on my Lulu Spotlight (it is still updating with new changes, but should be correct soon).
